Environmental Sustainability 

SVEMA UK GROUP LIMITED is committed to supporting long-term greenhouse gas emission reduction objectives in line with UK Government climate policy. 

Our lean business model includes: 

  • No company-owned vehicles 
  • No owned combustion equipment 
  • No UK manufacturing facilities 

Our emissions are primarily associated with Scope 3 operational activities, including logistics, purchased goods, and business travel. Scope 3 emissions primarily arise from purchased goods, logistics via third-party providers, and limited business travel.

This represents a 27% reduction against the baseline reporting year, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable operations. 

Carbon Reduction Strategy 

SVEMA UK GROUP LIMITED is working towards reducing operational greenhouse gas emissions through: 

  • Remote and hybrid working practices 
  • Digital-first operational systems 
  • Reduction of non-essential business travel 
  • Logistics coordination with third-party providers 
  • Ongoing supplier engagement and supply chain optimisation 

For residual emissions, the company may implement recognised carbon mitigation or other environmental sustainability measures in line with best practice guidance. 

Progress is reviewed annually at Director level in accordance with PPN 06/21 procurement guidance. 

Emissions Definitions 

  • Scope 1 emissions: Direct greenhouse gas emissions from sources owned or controlled by the company, such as combustion equipment or company vehicles. 
  • Scope 2 emissions: Indirect emissions associated with purchased electricity consumption. 
  • Scope 3 emissions: Indirect emissions arising across the supply chain, including transportation, business travel, employee commuting, and distribution.

We work closely with print, packaging, and manufacturing partners to minimise environmental impact by supporting: 

  • Sustainable packaging use 
  • Recycling and waste reduction 
  • Use of environmentally responsible materials 
  • Increased use of recycled and certified paper products
